Thank you for registering your interest in attending an Awareness Session with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

We will be allocating places shortly, and will let you know if you have been successful. If we are unable to accommodate one of your preferences, we may be able to offer an alternative session. Please do not submit multiple requests to attend these sessions. Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified.

Applications are open to people who have not attended awareness sessions just as much from those who have attended them.

The initial application process opens on 1 March 2017 and the process itself is details on our microsite and online Guide to becoming a West Yorkshire Firefighter.

We are experiencing a high volume of interest in attending these sessions. If you are unable to attend any session you are allocated, please let us know by emailing wholetimeapplications@westyorksfire.gov.uk so we can allocate this place to someone else. If you fail to attend an Awareness Session that you have been booked onto and do not advise us that you are unable to attend, this may adversely affect any future applications you may make.

Attendance on an Awareness Session does not form part of the recruitment and selection process.
